Team Building that Energises & Inspires

Not to be confused with team bonding – you can do that yourselves. Any RYP Team Building Program is tailored and designed to:

  • Reveal the default team behaviours and attitudes
  • Highlight desired team behaviours
  • Provide a mechanism by which participants can practice, explore, and personify desired team behaviours
  • Explore the team dynamics of any team
  • Foster an environment of Fun Focus Familiarity and Discipline into teams 

All experiential by nature and all explore the four key qualities of team chemistry and the following three must-have behaviours for teams to excel! 

  1. An ability to see issues and act on them
  2. An ability to innovate & problem solve
  3. An ability to coach & collaborate with others

All our Team Builds are half days, you can choose out of the following:

1. Mission Impossible
This activity explores the Plan – Do – Check – Act Cycle of continuous improvement and team dynamics. Dr Evil has set the team with a challenge – see if they can problem solve and unlock the seemingly impossible challenge set. This activity requires persistence, lateral thinking, communication, and problem-solving skills. The easy option is to quit! Tailored to desired & outcomes
2. The Ultimate Six In One Team Challenge
Walk The Talk. Put the theory of good team dynamics to the test. Navigate six team challenges in six different scenarios. Explore the different style of thinking and learning in your team. Reveal the qualities and attributes each team member brings to the team. Challenging Yes. Fun Yes. Pursue situational leadership, what is effective communication & feedback loops.
3. Crack the da Vinci Code
This Team Build is designed to ensure a diversity of thinking, and hence to reveal the attributes of team members by how they act and behave. Who has Analytical Thinking / Lateral Thinking / Creative Thinking / Social – Emotional Connection / Risk Mitigation / Task Focused / Hunter & Gatherer. The activity requires a formative learning approach, meaning the outcome reveals itself over time. Resilience, persistence and “can do” thinking drives this activity. This activity highlights talkers and doers!
4. Lights Camera Action
A challenging team activity that links upfront brand promises with culture. The lived experiences of staff and customers always reveal whether the team dynamics is centred around the organisations mission and purpose. This activity will require participants to reflect and personify what the upfront promises to the World are, and then how they bring them to life, and turn this into a high-quality Video, that will be recorded and played back in the evening. Requires creative thinking, imagination, project planning, rehearsal, and successful execution.

All above programs are scored with pre-determined outcomes and measures of success, plus a 100 day follow up.

Train the Facilitator:

Often our team processes work well where the senior managers are acting as facilitators and are required to both brief and debrief teams around any team activity. Facilitation is an important skill for any senior or potential senior executive to have, and does require experiential learning and practice.

Everyone is responsible for their team’s chemistry. Attitudes, actions, and attributes is all anyone brings to a team. Making this hum happens by design and requires a collective ownership and safe environment to practice and rehearse the desired behaviours. This is what is at the heart of any of our team building programs.
